Portrait of a squirrel monkey at the Edinburgh Zoo. While the Living Links monkey house has lots of space and lots of ropes/branches and food, there were lots of bored looking monkeys too. Mind you, if you locked a bunch of humans up they’d look bored too.

Reviewer Peter Conrad says that "Most of the colours in the exhibition are brightly synthetic", although that is mostly to be expected given the film stock available at the time. Includes photos by Marvin Newman, Susan Wides and Norman Parkinson.

"It is the photographer, not the camera, that is the instrument" - Eve Arnold, 1912 - 2012

Eve Arnold was the first female member of Magnum, the famous photo agency. Known for her wide range, from celebrity portraits to photo journalism, Magnum's co-founder Robert Capa described her work as falling "between Marlene Dietrich's legs and the bitter lives of potato pickers". You can read her obituary here, and her biography at Magnum.
