Europe’s Landscape Is Still Scarred by World War I – Aerial photos

Interesting set of aerial photographs of western European landscapes and their battle scars by Irish landscape photographer Michael St. Maur Sheil. His exhibition, “Fields of Battle—Lands of Peace” will tour the UK in late 2014.

Even today, a century after the start of the Great War, the countryside still bears scars.

Quite different from the WW2 battle landscapes.
