
Photos from a 1957 LIFE Magazine article on Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886 – 1969), perhaps the most delicate modernist architect of all. This is a photo of Illinois Tech’s Crow Hall, a 220 foot long open building with no internal supporting structures.
